Relief
Efforts
JUSTEC established a charitable fund to
support Tamagawa
University's relief efforts on behalf of the children and families
displaced by the earthquake and Tsunami. Here, we are very happy to report
that the project was successfully concluded in October, 2011. Thank you
very much for your generous suppport and donation. This project was
introduced in the
article of the Asahi Shimbun on October 20th, 2011.
Ten children, in grades
1
to 8, had come to Tamagawa since June
2011 for four months. They lived in the homes of Tamagawa
faculty and received free education at Tamagawa so that their
parent(s) could have focused on re-establishing their new life (find
place to
live, new job, etc.).
Funds were used to support this effort, especially to assist with
transportation costs for the children and families so that they could
visit each other a few times during this period away from home.
This project was
concluded, but Tamagawa will continue its effort to
support education and people in need. If you are interested in
supporting such effort through donation, please
contact JUSTEC Office.
You will receive further information
by e-mail.
